How to read it
Time runs left to right:
Color encodes the score at each moment:
What to look for
- Smooth left-to-right gradient — the day had one direction. Cross-check with the day type badge.
- Color flip mid-day — a regime shift, often newsy (rate decision, geopolitical headline, big earnings, CPI surprise).
- Bright color compressed at one end — most of the day’s drama happened in a small window.
- Bar ends short of the right edge with a vertical white line — today’s intraday recap. The white line is “now.”
- Bar fills end-to-end — past day, complete.
