# Why is X feature missing?

> How the roadmap works and how to request a feature.

auramarkets is a one-developer project at the friends-and-family stage. That shapes what gets built and when.

## How priorities work

Roughly, in order:

1. **Things that break** — bug fixes always come first
2. **Things friends/users actually ask for** — feature requests with a clear use-case from someone using the site
3. **Quality-of-life improvements** — making existing features easier to use
4. **New domains** — entirely new sections (the next big bet, e.g., YouTube ingestion)

This means: if you want a feature, **ask for it**. The roadmap isn't fixed; user requests with concrete use-cases jump the queue.

## How to request a feature

* Send a note directly to me
* Be specific: *"I want to be able to export my watchlist to a CSV so I can import it into \[tool X]"* beats *"add export"*
* The clearer the use-case, the faster it gets built

## What's in flight

Areas with active or near-term planned work:

* **Substack ingestion improvements** — Phase 2c author scoring
* **YouTube ingestion** — full pipeline build
* **X (Twitter) integration** — including subscriber-only tweet ingestion (waiting on dev portal setup)
* **Market Pulse V2** — ground-up redesign around price-first 4-layer architecture
* **CSP rollout** — Content-Security-Policy hardening

## What's intentionally not built (yet)

* **Trading execution** — auramarkets is a research and risk tool, not a broker
* **Bundler / charting library** — vanilla JS + Canvas 2D is a deliberate choice; no React, no D3
* **Mobile app** — the web works on mobile but isn't optimized; native is not a priority

## What's parked but not dead

Ideas that have been thought through but aren't being actively built:

* **Earnings beat/miss odds** — implied move from options or Polymarket
* **askedgar.io SEC filings integration** — dilution / shelf / cash-runway analytics for small-mid caps
* **Site-wide Content-Security-Policy** — needs YouTube + Clerk allow-list

If one of these would unlock something for you, that's the kind of nudge that moves it up.
